Day Program - 3 weeks (15 Days): Monday through Friday - 7:30 A.M - 3:00 P.M.
Evening Program - 7 weeks (25 Days): Monday through Thursday - 5:00 P.M - 9:20 P.M.
Weekend Program - 15 Saturdays: 7:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Course Description

This comprehensive Phlebotomy Technician course was created to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain an entry-level position as a Phlebotomy Technician. The training will prepare students in the collection, processing and distribution of laboratory specimens according to established procedures. Emphasis will be placed on safety standards, legal and ethical considerations, as well as quality control procedures.

As a graduation requirement for this program, students must perform 5 live unaided successful vein punctures and 10 unaided successful capillary collection procedures on their classmates. The completion of the 5/10 procedures can be applied to eligibility requirements for certifications, such as the National Healthcare Association Certification. Additional fees may apply to the National Certification exams.
